Biography/Notes:
The first of the children of Milton and Jane Drake to be born after the Myaamia relocation to Indian Territory, Mary married George VanDusen, a cabinet-maker who had emigrated from Canada, on December 28, 1898. She and George had three daughters: Mabel, Ida, and Marchie. Mary died when Marchie was an infant, at just 32 years old. In 1909, George married a woman named Jennie Clark who helped raise the girls in Baxter Springs, Kansas.
