Chain Of Title

This parcel genealogy outlines the history of Myaamia landownership. It represents and allows us to track the chain of title for Miami-owned parcels of land chronologically. Each chain of title begins with a Myaamia homeland (places with unique identification numbers 1, 2, and 3). Treaty cessions followed. Myaamia individuals retained allotments and reserves. As those allotments and reserves were sold or split over time, parcel families grew to include grandparents, great grandparents, and so forth. This outline is a quick reference to the database’s parcel lineage system. As we continue our research and archive historical land transfers, this outline will continue to grow.
