    Bringing two Miami families together, Addie Billington and Charles Leonard were married February 26, 1900. Charles was the son of George W. Leonard and Cynthia Sigman, and the grandson of Moses Leonard and Marie Louisa Roubidoux. Before marrying, Charles had attended Haskell Indian School in Kansas, and Addie had graduated from Chilocco Indian School. It was not long after their respective educations that they married. Charles and Addie's marriage brought forth five sons and four daughters: Irene, Elmer Charles, Carl Edgar, Busey, Cora, LeRoy, Anna Rose, Everett Eugene, and Verdenia Pauline. The Leonard family operated a farm near Chetopa, Kansas, just north of their allotted land.
